Senior Accountant

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join the team at our premises in Nicosia.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field;
  • Completed or working towards an accounting qualification including the ACCA/ACA/CPA;
  • Minimum 3 years’ of professional accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English;
  • Proficient computer literacy;


Responsibilities of the position

The Senior Accountant typical tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise daily reporting and posting of journal entries in the accounting system and ensure that all records are up to date;
  • Supervise bank reconciliations, bookkeeping and payment requests;
  • Track and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Preparation of accounting records based on international financial reporting standards (‘’IFRS’’);
  • Review and submit of VAT services & returns; liaise with Cyprus Tax and VAT authorities
  • Maintain the fixed asset register including depreciation calculations;
  • Assist in the audit of the fund entities and fund Manager (CIF) according to international financial reporting standards (‘’IFRS’’) ensuring on-time tax and statutory filing;
  • Preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts, periodic and regulatory reports for the fund entities and the fund manager as required by CySec, CBC and/or Companies’ Registrar;
  • Liaising with CySec, CBC, Custodian, brokers, banks, auditors and clients ensuring smooth business operations;
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and implementing policies and procedures;
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team;
  • Working in a team and supporting in servicing clients, assisting with day to day requests and responding to their needs.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience in a Finance team is highly desirable;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Must possess great attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize own work to meet set deadlines;

Junior Accountant

We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join the team at our premises in Nicosia.

Qualifications

  • Applicant will ideally hold a relevant academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field;
  • Any previous working experience will be considered an advantage;
  • Working towards a relevant accounting qualification including the ACCA/ACA/CPA will be considered a plus , but not a prerequisite;
  • Fluency in Greek & English is a must;
  • Basic computer literacy;
     

Responsibilities of the position

The Junior Accountant typical tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Bank reconciliation and payment requests;
  • Issue and post invoices on the accounting system and keep records up to date;
  • Responsible for the book-keeping (sales, purchases, nominal ledgers, etc) and providing assistance in the audit of the fund entities, fund Manager (CIF)ensuring on-time tax and statutory filing;
  • Assist in the preparation of interim and year-end financial accounts, periodic and regulatory reports for the fund entities and the fund manager as required by CySec, CBC and/or Companies
  • Preparation of VAT services & returns;
  • Liaising with Custodian, banks, auditors and clients ensuring smooth business operations;
  • Ensuring that pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met in a timely manner;
  • Work under the supervision of a Senior Accountant and the Financial Controller
  • Working in a team and supporting supervisors in servicing clients, assisting with day to day requests and responding to their needs.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience in a Finance team is highly desirable;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Must possess great attention to detail;
  • Must be self-motivated and self-starting;

Administration Officer

Qualifications

Responsibilities of the Position

Emergo Wealth is looking for a motivated individual with excellent writing and analytical skills, able to work effectively in a multinational team environment. 

The Administration Officer will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Administration and Client Services Departments by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. 

The Administration Officer typical tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Onboarding employers and members and assisting in the everyday operations of the LifeGoals multi-employer and third party provident funds; 
  • Reviewing client data, filling and populating the Company’s database. 
  • Call center and customer support duties; prioritizing client inquiries and communicating to the respective Company departments; 
  • Implementing all policies and procedures followed by the Administration department pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the department in accordance with the applicable legislation; 
  • Assisting in the client account opening process, account maintenance and performing client due diligence in line with the Company’s policies and procedures. 
  • Other ad-hoc duties as needed.

The Sales Administrator will have the responsibility of providing support to the Sales and Business Development departments, by organizing and monitoring the execution of sales related tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.  

  • Be the first point of contact to respond to/redirect sales related inquiries via email or phone;  
  • Maintain data integrity within customer records in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other systems;  
  • Work with the Sales Manager to increase forecast accuracy and integrity of pipeline;  
  • Provide basic and more detailed information on the LifeGoals Services to prospects and clients;  
  • Follow up on prospect and customer inquiries sent to sales@ and route to the appropriate team;
  • Review and ensure all promotional material and templates are up to date;
  • Collaborate with other departments to follow up on prospect and customer inquiries;  
  • Other ad-hoc duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • CySEC Advanced Certification;
  • University degree in a Finance related field;
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in Finance and Investments;
  • Holding or working towards a relevant professional qualification will be considered an advantage.


Responsibilities of the position

The Investment Analyst typical tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate to clients the key characteristics, risk and features of the investment products being offered or recommended;
  • Perform investment suitability assessments in line with the MiFID requirements;
  • Contact clients and set up meetings and presentations, either in person or online;
  • Working in a team and support in servicing clients, assisting with day-to-day requests and responding to their needs;
  • Prepare and present investment reports;
  • Input data and extract reports to/from the Firm’s back/middle office systems;
  • Keep up to date with financial products, relevant legislation, and market developments;


Skills

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills;
