How is the PEPP Regulated?

The PEPP is developed according to the European Regulation (EU) 2019/1238 and regulated by the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).

At a national level, the PEPP is regulated by the national competent authorities of each Member State. The LifeGoals PEPP is under the supervision of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

What about Tax Treatment?

The tax treatment of the PEPP is subject to the rules and regulations on how pension contributions, investment returns, and withdrawals are taxed ate each EU Member State.

In Cyprus, savers’ contributions into the PEPP and the payment of the accumulated funds at retirement are tax deductible.

What is the Basic PEPP?

The Basic PEPP is the default investment option offered to PEPP savers, which is designed as a safe, low-risk investment option aiming to preserve the saver’s capital, while providing the potential for modest investment returns over the long term.
